Beauty therapists and industry professionals gathered at the picturesque Sergeants Mess for a cocktail party to celebrate the launch of the dermaviduals skincare range. Guests were transported to the waterside venue from the car park by shuttle buses, and were greeted with a drink (and a spectacular view) on arrival.

Managing partners of dermaviduals, Reika Roberts and Simone Vescio kicked off proceedings with a heart-warming introduction to the brand. dermaviduals is a German skincare company founded by Dr Hans Lautenschlaeger in 1994. Roberts and Vescio brought the dermaviduals science back to Australia and trialed it on various skin conditions out of Vescio’s Sydney north shore salon.

Roberts and Vescio then introduced guest speaker Florence Barrett-Hill, an independent technical educator, who spoke about her extensive experience and research in skincare and her appreciation for the dermaviduals brand. She first discovered the brand while doing research for her book Cosmetic Chemistry in 2009. Worldwide LED educator Jennifer Brodeur then spoke about developments in LED technology and training, and why dermaviduals was a brand leader in skincare. Brodeur referred to the product line’s bespoke nature, and how it doesn’t take a blanket-approach to skincare.

Before long the podium was handed over to guest speaker Deborah Thomas, ACP Magazines’ general manager of media, public affairs and brand development. The charismatic Thomas spoke about her experience at the recent royal wedding, her skincare history, as well as the changing face of public relations and branding in light of today’s social media-driven world.

dermaviduals is a salon-only skincare range available now for professional use Australia-wide.
